Florida Panthers Continue Community Volunteer Events In South Florida In November

Panthers support local organizations with seven November events, including food drives for families for Thanksgiving

SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment today announced that Panthers assistant general manager Mike Santos, head coach Kevin Dineen, Fox Sports Florida commentator Bill Lindsay, Stanley C Panther and Panthers employees will continue to volunteer time in the community and support local South Florida organizations in seven events throughout the month of November.

“These events in our community are extremely important to the Panthers and the organizations we are partnering with. It’s another chance for each of our organizations to help out in the South Florida community,” said Panthers president Michael Yormark. “We live in a wonderful community, and together with these organizations we can continue to make it better.”

On Friday, Nov. 2, the Panthers kicked off the month with Fox Sports Broadcaster Bill Lindsay and Stanley C. Panther serving lunch to local residents through Broward Partnership for the Homeless, Inc. Lindsay and Stanley will also be serving lunch on Friday, Nov. 9.

November’s events continued Thursday night at Saveology.com Iceplex in Coral Springs, with Meal & Skate. Panthers Head Coach, Kevin Dineen with Bill Lindsay will be in attendance to instruct and skate with local children through Henderson Behavioral Health and Jessica June Children’s Cancer Foundation.

The Panthers are also hosting a food drive for Harvest Drive Inc., donating grocery, household and personal essentials, and encourage fans and the community to donate as well. Perishable and non-perishable food items can be dropped off at the BB&T Center (Security entrance) or Saveology.com Iceplex (main entrance) through Thursday, Nov. 15. Harvest Drive provides needy families with a complete Thanksgiving meal along with a week’s grocery staples through donations. Community Drop off, sorting/packing and family pick up will all take place at Western High School in Davie on Nov. 16, Nov. 19 and Nov. 20. Panthers Assistant GM Mike Santos will be on hand on Tuesday, Nov. 20 to hand out food to Broward County families.

The Florida Panthers will team up with multiple local organizations throughout the month of November.
