SUNRISE, FL – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment announced today the new Florida Panthers “President For A Week” contest where one local college student will shadow Cats President Michael Yormark for a week during the winter break.

Interested college students can apply online at http://floridapanthers.com/PresidentForAWeek. Candidates will be asked to submit short essay questions and may be required to conduct a phone interview with Panthers executives as part of the vetting process. The winning contestant will spend a full business week with Yormark including attending all his internal and external meetings, business functions, BB&T Center events and more.

“I am excited to provide a local college student with an in depth look inside the world of a President of a professional sports and entertainment organization,” Yormark said. “Hopefully, the experience will be invaluable as he or she move through their college career and prepare to enter the work force.”

The “President For A Week” contest is part of the Panthers’ commitment to support aspiring members of the sports and entertainment community. In addition, the Cats hosted the first Florida Panthers Broadcast School in October and Career Day on Saturday, Dec. 1.
