Panthers Prospects F Vincent Trocheck & F Rocco Grimaldi invited to Team USA Selection Camp

SUNRISE, Fla. – USA Hockey announced today that Florida Panthers prospects, F Vincent Trocheck and F Rocco Grimaldi have been invited to take part in USA Hockey’s National Junior Selection Camp, that will take place from Dec. 16-18 in Tarrytown, N.Y.

Trocheck, 19, leads the Saginaw Spirit (OHL) with 45 points (21-24-45) in 30 games played this year. The Saginaw captain, hold the club’s all-time assist record (144) and currently sits 12 points shy of the franchise points record of 247. The Pittsburgh, PA, native was drafted by Florida with their fourth selection (64th overall) in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

Grimaldi, 19, is in his sophomore season with University of North Dakota (WCHA) and is tied for second on the team with 11 points (5-6-11) in 14 games played. The Anaheim, CA, native was drafted by Florida with their second selection (33rd overall) in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

In total, 27 players have been selected to attend Team USA’s selection camp with the final roster being announced on Dec. 23. USA will play its’ first game of the 2013 IIHF World Junior Championship in Russia on Dec. 27 against Germany.
