Postponed Panthers-Caps Game Date Announced

Game Rescheduled For Dec. 1; Rangers Game on Nov. 9 Unchanged

SUNRISE, FL – The National Hockey League announced today that the Saturday Oct. 29 game between the Washington Capitals and the Florida Panthers at the BankAtlantic Center – which was originally postponed due to the community recovery from Hurricane Wilma – has been officially rescheduled for Thursday, Dec. 1 with a 7 p.m. game start presented by BankAtlantic.

The expected arrival of Hurricane Wilma also caused the Saturday, Oct. 22 game vs. the Ottawa Senators to be rescheduled for Monday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m.

Those fans holding tickets for either game may use them for the rescheduled dates or they can exchange them for a future Panthers game by calling (954) 835-PUCK. Patrons who have conflicts with the rescheduled date should go to their point of purchase for additional information.

"The issues facing the South Florida community in the wake of Hurricane Wilma made it necessary for the NHL to reschedule the game," said Sunrise Sports & Entertainment chief operating officer Michael Yormark . "We feel the league acted in the best interest of the fans, our employees and both hockey clubs."

The Cats next scheduled home game at the BankAtlantic Center is Wednesday, Nov. 9 vs. league leading scorer Jaromir Jagr and the Atlantic Division leading New York Rangers at 7 p.m.
