A November To Remember: Packed Schedule On Tap For Cats
Individual Tickets for All Home Games Available Now
SUNRISE, FL – As the South Florida community heads into November with Hurricane Wilma behind it, the Florida Panthers are inviting their fans to "Power Up With The Panthers." For the first three November home games, fans will receive a $10-dollar meal voucher with each ticket they purchase. The promotional tickets are only available when purchased in advance of game day by calling 954-835-PUCK.
"Our team feels a certain responsibility to help the community recover in the aftermath of Hurricane Wilma," Panthers captain Olli Jokinen said. "This is one way we can help. We look forward to returning to South Florida and playing in front of our loyal fans."
"We are trying to provide a distraction from the inconveniences that the people of South Florida are experiencing following the hurricane," Sunrise Sports & Entertainment chief operating officer Michael Yormark said.
Fans will have an incredible slate of games to look forward to in November. First, league-leading goal scorer Jaromir Jagr comes to town with the Atlantic Division-leading New York Rangers on Nov. 9. Just two days later the Southeast Division-leading Carolina Hurricanes visit the BankAtlantic Center for a huge rivalry game. Then, in the final "Power Up With The Panthers" promotional game, the Panthers face-off with Alexei Yashin and the New York Islanders.
Later in the month the Cats bookend the Thanksgiving holiday with a pair of great games. First there's the stellar goaltending match-up between Cats G Roberto Luongo and New Jersey netminder Martin Brodeur when the Panthers host the Devils on Nov. 23. Then, on Nov. 25 rookie sensation Sidney Crosby visits the BankAtlantic Center for the first time with Hall of Famer Mario Lemieux and the rest of the Pittsburgh Penguins. The spectacular month of hockey concludes when the Panthers welcome star center Eric Lindros and the Toronto Maple Leafs to the BankAtlantic Center on Monday, Nov. 28.
Tickets for the November games as well as all the remaining 30 home games at the BankAtlantic Center, are presently available at all Ticketmaster outlets and the BankAtlantic Center box office. Tickets for the first 11 games of the season went on sale Sept. 9.
Fans should also look out for the Western Conference powerhouse Detroit Red Wings on Dec. 15, superstar center Peter Forsberg and the Philadelphia Flyers on both Dec. 26 and March 15 and the rival Maple Leafs on Nov. 28 and Jan. 30.
The Cats will also play 11 more home games against Southeast Division rivals such as the Hurricanes, Tampa Bay Lightning, Atlanta Thrashers and Washington Capitals.
