Anthony Stewart Undergoes Successful Wrist Surgery

SUNRISE, FL - Florida Panthers General Manager Mike Keenan announced today that RW Anthony Stewart had successful surgery on his right wrist this morning, after injuring it in last night's game against the Carolina Hurricanes. The team's official hand specialist, Dr. Harris Gellman performed the surgery at Coral Springs Medical Center. Stewart has been placed on injured reserve, and a timetable for his return will be determined after team doctors reevaluate him next week.

The Florida Panthers open a three-game road trip with a game against the Philadelphia Flyers this evening at 7 p.m. The team then travels to Canada for games in Montreal (Nov. 15) and in Ottawa (Nov. 17). The Cats return home on Saturday, Nov. 19 to face the New York Islanders.
