Carolina Heads Back to BankAtlantic Center Saturday Night for Rematch
Olli Jokinen led the Florida Panthers (25-29-9) past the NHL leading Carolina Hurricanes (43-14-5) scoring his 30th and 31st goals while also dishing out an assist (38).
Martin Gelinas opened up the scoring for the Cats with his 14th goal and also notched his 19th assist. Chris Gratton picked up his 15th goal and Jozef Stumpel scored his 10th goal on an empty net with 12 seconds left in the game.
Recording assists were Juraj Kolnik (14, 15), Jay Bouwmeester (31) and Joel Kwiatkowski (5).
The Hurricanes will take the BankAtlantic Center ice again on Saturday night at 7:30 to wrap up a back-to-back series between the two teams.
