First Hometown Hockey Tour a Huge Success
SUNRISE, Fla. – The Florida Panthers Hometown Hockey Tour made its way to the residence of Cats fans Rose and Dean Sklar on Sunday, June 24 with more than 100 people attending a blow-out Panthers themed block party.
The party took place in Weston Hills and was sponsored by HouseWall Garage System. Fans, neighbors, and friends took part in all the day's festivities which included the Panera Bounce House, the Panthers Slap Shot Game, and an appearance by Stanley C. Panther.
"We love the Panthers, and miss them during the summer," said Helen Gerber of Weston, "This is a great chance for our family to spend time with our close friends and get to meet Stanley C. Panther up close!"
Panera Bread and Coca-Cola provided food and drinks for everyone at the block party, while HouseWall Garage System showed off their recent work on the Sklar's two-car garage.
"The Hometown Hockey Tour is yet another example of unique ways for us to keep in touch with our fans over the summer," said Vice President of Community Development Randy Moller. "We look forward to seeing the children and fans all summer long as we go out in the community. This initiative will ultimately help fans stay connected with our team and build excitement until we 'Drop That Puck' in October."
The Hometown Hockey Tour is designed to provide a festive atmosphere for Panther fans in the community. On selected weekends, the Hometown Hockey Tour will put on a "Block Party" in a local community, providing interactive games, contests and a chance to hang out with the Florida Panthers mascot, Stanley C. Panther.
HouseWall Garage System is the sponsor of the Hometown Hockey Tour. On some tour stops fans will be able to browse through a home whose garage has been 'made over' with the innovative garage organization system.
"We are happy to support the Hometown Hockey Tour with Stanley and the Florida Panthers during the summer," said HouseWall Garage Systems Founder and CEO/CMO Michael Dagen.
The next Block Party will be held in conjunction with the first Hockey House Call on Sunday, July 9 in Coral Springs.
