Panthers delighted with Frolik's 'fall'

Make no mistake about it, Michael Frolik is a star in the making. Still, the young left wing may have to live with the tag of "fell in the draft" until he can prove that he is NHL worthy.
In the eyes of some of the draft experts, Frolik fell to 10th overall in the 2006 Entry Draft because his offensive numbers dropped off. Facts are facts, but there sometimes is a good reason why a player's statistics can fall. In Frolik's case, it was because of the system his team employed. The left-wing lock, after all, will make any player's numbers drop.
The Florida Panthers took advantage and moved quickly when Frolik was available in the 10th spot. A year ago, Frolik was projected to be in 2006's top three.
