Capitals Head Coach Glen Hanlon\'s Post-game Comments vs. the Panthers on Monday Night

Glen Hanlon's Post- Game Comments
Florida vs. Washington

We felt that the power play last game did a lot of good things, and we were rewarded. Tonight we didn't feel we were moving around as well but with the five on three we were fortunate to get an opportunity to get with as couple of clears over the glass and that ended up resulting in a win for us.

Again I'm going to comment on the shots were not really concerned we keep scoring chances and if you rake a look on the clock, the 33rd shot must have been about five feet wide from the net when Olie caught it so we are not concerned about that we stay in the course and having scoring chances in the games, but to continue with that Olie certainly played a good game and I liked a lot of things that we did. I think for us we did a better job against the Rangers in pursuing pucks I think tonight there were too many times where we came a foot, foot in half and then just swung away and didn't do anything when we could have gone and we chose to pull back and that is certainly not us, but in the end we did some good things.

Shots on goal vs score of the game?
I don't know what we are exactly, because we haven't played as many games I haven't seen that NHL stats for goals average, we are eight in ten and we are sliding a little bit but a game like tonight, the Ovechkin goal gets it on the second lack, those are critical goal scored. And when you have a player like Ovechkin he makes the big plays for you. I thought that was a big part of the hockey game.
