CLICK TO VOTE - Panthers C Olli Jokinen and D Jay Bouwmeester Named to All-Star Fan Ballots

SUNRISE, Fla. – The National Hockey League announced both C Olli Jokinen and D Jay Bouwmeester have been selected to appear on the COLD-fX / NHL All-Star Fan Balloting, Presented by 2K Sports. For the first time ever, the NHL-All Star Fan Balloting process will be entirely digital.

From now through Jan. 2, fans around the world can "CLICK TO VOTE" for the Eastern and Western Conference All-Star starters for the 2007 NHL All-Star Game on-line at NHL.com or by clicking here.

Jokinen, 27, currently paces the Cats with six goals and eight assists in 16 games played and ranks fifth among the NHL's leaders with 79 shots on goal. The Panthers captain led the team and posted career highs in goals scored (38), assists (51) and points (89) during the 2005-06 campaign. In his All-Star debut in 2003 in South Florida, he tallied a goal and three assists

Bouwmeester, 23, ranks second among Cats defensemen with seven points (3-4-7) in 16 games played. The Edmonton, Alberta native ranks seventh among league leaders averaging 26:01 minutes played per game this year. Last season, Bouwmeester ranked second all-time among Panthers defensemen for assists in one season with 41. Bouwmeester appeared in the 2003 YoungStars Game that was held in South Florida recording one assist.

The 2006-07 season marks the 19th year in which fans will determine the starting lineups for the NHL All-Star Game. Fans can vote for six Eastern Conference All-Stars and six Western Conference All-Stars: three forwards, two defensemen and one goaltender for each team. If a player is not listed on the ballot, a space is provided for "write-in" votes. The three forwards, two defensemen and one goaltender from each Conference receiving the most votes will comprise the starting lineups. Each of the 30 NHL Clubs has at least two representatives on the ballot.

The 2007 NHL All-Star Celebration hosted at the American Airlines Arena in Dallas will feature live national broadcasts of the Dodge/NHL SuperSkills event on Tuesday, Jan. 23 and the NHL All-Star Game on Wednesday, Jan. 24 on VERSUS in the United States and CBC and RDS in Canada starting at 8 p.m., ET. NASN, the NHL's exclusive broadcast partner in Europe, will provide live coverage of both the Dodge/NHL SuperSkills event and the NHL All-Star Game to more than 25 countries and territories in Europe. NHL RADIO on Westwood One will provide exclusive, national radio coverage in the United States and Canada, while Sirius Satellite Radio and XM Satellite Radio each will provide radio play-by-play coverage of the game.
