Everblades Advance to Division Finals
The Florida Panthers ECHL minor league affiliate Florida Everblades advanced to the Division Finals Tuesday night, with a 4-0 win at Charlotte to complete a three-game series sweep of the Checkers.

Once again it was Panthers prospect Dustin Johner leading the way for the Blades with a goal and an assist. David Brine assisted on the series ending empty net goal. Johner had five points (2-3-5) and a plus-four rating in the short three-game series while Brine had four points (1-3-4).

The Blades defense held Charlotte to 0-for-8 on the power play and Craig Kowalski was once again excellent in goal for Florida, turning away all 32 shots he faced. Kowalski is now 6-0 in his ECHL career in the playoff.

The Everblades will now await the winner of the Gwinnett-Texas series as their opponent for the Division Finals which will begin Tuesday, April 24 at Germain Arena in Estero, Florida.

Gwinnett and Texas will meet Wednesday night in Game Three of their best-of-five series with the series tied at one.
