“I feel great. Florida is where I was drafted, and it’s a place where I want to win. I’m thrilled I can be with this team for a little bit longer. We’re obviously going in the right direction and building something that I want to be a part of. Hopefully, this is the start of many winning seasons to come.”
About Weiss’ thoughts on his contract:
“I’m very happy with it. You know it’s not the main thing for me It’s not about the money obviously, it’s part of it, but for me Florida is where I wanted to play. You know the deal made sense to me, and it’s where I want to play and win.”
On whether he got frustrated:
“I wasn’t frustrated, It was more of a learning process, and you just have to be patient with it, and you know, just learn. I never got frustrated, or down or anything. I just had to keep working hard, and I always knew it would work out for the best and it did. I’m thrilled!”
“Absolutely. I don’t expect anything less of myself, so that doesn’t bother me at all.”
