Florida Recalls G David Shantz from Rochester (AHL)
SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers General Manager and Head Coach Jacques Martin announced today that G David Shantz has been recalled from Rochester (AHL).

Shantz, 21, has started three games for Rochester going 0-3-0 with a 4.69 GAA. The Hamilton, Ontario native appeared in 23 games for the Florida Everblades (ECHL) last season, going 13-7-1 with a 2.96 GAA. He also appeared in two games with Rochester (AHL) during the 2006-07 season posting a 1-1 record with a 4.51 GAA.

Shantz was Florida’s second choice (37th overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
