Florida Assigns C Stefan Meyer to Rochester (AHL)

SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers General Manager and Head Coach Jacques Martin announced today that C Stefan Meyer has been assigned to Rochester (AHL).
Meyer, 22, made his NHL debut Wednesday night at the BankAtlantic Center. He played in 3:25 of the Panthers 4-3 victory over Philadelphia with an even rating. In nine games with Rochester this season, Meyer has registered five points (1-4-5) and eight PIM. Medicine Hat, Alberta native was originally drafted by the Panthers with their fifth choice (55th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
