Panthers Recall Martin Lojek From Rochester

SUNRISE, Fla. - Florida Panthers General Manager and Head Coach Jacques Martin announced today that D Martin Lojek has been recalled from Rochester (AHL).
Lojek, 22, will be making his first appearance with the Panthers this season. Last year Lojek made his NHL debut on Feb. 3, 2007 against Los Angeles and scored his first NHL point, an assist on Feb. 10, 2007 vs Phoenix. For his career, Lojek has appeared in three games with Florida scoring one assist.
The Brno, Czech Republic native has appeared in 31 games for Rochester (AHL) this season, scoring five points (3-2-5).
Lojek flew into Ft. Lauderdale this afternoon and is eligible to play tonight when Florida plays host to Montreal at the BankAtlantic Center at 7:30 p.m. The game, a sell-out, can be seen locally on FSN-Florida and heard on the radio at 790AM The Ticket.
