Florida Panthers Foundation Announces Holiday Stocking Stuffer Sale

Fundraiser to be held on Saturday, December 22 during Cats-Maple Leafs game
SUNRISE, FL – The Florida Panthers Foundation today announced plans for its holiday themed “Stocking Stuffer Sale” fundraising event. Fans will have the opportunity to purchase autographed mini sticks and pucks as a last minute stocking stuffer for the holidays. This fundraiser will be held on Saturday, December 22 as the Panthers take on the visiting Toronto Maple Leafs at the BankAtlantic Center at 7 pm.
The Foundation will offer a limited number of mini sticks and mystery pucks for sale during this fundraiser. Each mini stick or puck sold will be signed by a member of the Florida Panthers and will be sold for a discounted price. Mini sticks will be sold for $30 and mystery pucks will be sold for $20. Additionally, select mini sticks and pucks will be signed in gold and the recipients of those items will win an additional prize.
“With the holiday season in full swing, the Foundation is excited to offer fans the opportunity to purchase a piece of signed Panthers memorabilia as a last minute stocking stuffer,” said Executive Director Alaina Miller. “Fans will be able to purchase a unique gift for the Panthers fans on their shopping list with the chance to win an additional prize.”
Mini sticks and pucks can be purchased at the Gameday Auction table as well as from staff members who will be roaming the concourse and selling the merchandise. All proceeds will benefit the Florida Panthers Foundation.
Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital has been named as a preferred beneficiary of the Florida Panthers Foundation. The hospital will receive $500 from the Foundation for every Panthers goal scored at the BankAtlantic Center during the 2007-08 season.
Over the past year the Florida Panthers Foundation has donated funds to the following organizations: The Andy Roddick Foundation, the Transplant Foundation, Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County, Florence Fuller Child Development Centers, Goldie’s Gang, Deliver the Dream and the Jewish National Fund.
Additionally, the Florida Panthers Foundation has donated Florida Panthers game tickets and auction items including team-signed jerseys and sticks and Zamboni rides to various South Florida charities. Recipients include: Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Broward County, American Cancer Society, JAFCO, Homestead Air Reserve, Soref JCC, Kids in Distress, American Jewish Community, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and Rock and Wrap It Up!.
