Sunrise Edition: Welcome

|Welcome to my first blog. I recently decided that I wanted to share my thoughts and opinions on a wide variety of issues regarding Sunrise Sports & entertainment and the Florida Panthers. I plan on writing a blog regularly and cover topics ranging from the Panthers to upcoming concerts and shows, to new initiatives we are contemplating which may or may not have an affect on our fans, as well as sponsor news and much, much more.
My hope is that the insight I provide will make you feel more connected to our organization and that you will ultimately provide me with valuable feedback on those issues that we review together. Remember, we are in this together and I will always be open to your comments and or suggestions. Please e-mail me at email@example.com.
That said, here it goes.
Well, for many of you who attended Sunday night’s 4-2 win over the Penguins, you got a glimpse of what playoff hockey is all about. The passion, energy and excitement is truly at another level right now. Without a doubt, the players felt your presence in the third period and you gave them that extra lift they needed.
Now, as we sit tied for the eighth and final Eastern Conference playoff spot with the Rangers with three games to play, its time that we really get behind this team and cheer them on. After games in Philadelphia and Atlanta this week, we return home for our final regular season game against the Capitals on Saturday. Each of our remaining three games are critical, but as fans, we can have a significant influence on Saturday’s outcome. Needless to say, we need to pack the BankAtlantic Center just like the Capitals did last year when they beat us to earn a playoff spot on the last day of the regular season.
People have always said this is a big event town and there is no question that Saturday’s game has the potential to be one of the biggest games in the history of the Panthers organization. Its up to all of us to give our team the home ice advantage they deserve and need.
The next five days are going to be very exciting and we must all continue to believe! I believe if we win our remaining games, we will be in the playoffs and I know our team feels the same way. We must take it one game at a time and not look too far down the road. Its a three game season now and we have one week to prove we have turned the corner.
I recently returned from Los Angeles where I had a few meetings regarding our summer concert schedule, but I am counting the minutes until we drop the puck in Philly tonight. Its going to be a great battle and our boys are up for the challenge. Make sure to listen to Randy and Billy on WFTL 640 AM or watch the game on NHL Center Ice.
Get your ticket for Saturday’s game now and be part of the excitement as we continue to push for the playoffs.
Go Panthers go!
