Panthers Ink Dominic Moore

SUNRISE, FL – Florida Panthers General Manager Randy Sexton announced today that the club has agreed terms on a one-year deal with C Dominic Moore.
 
“We are very pleased to welcome Dominic to our organization,” said Sexton. “He is a smart, talented, hard working player who adds further depth to our center position. In addition, he adds more speed, performs well on face-offs and will contribute on offense. This signing is further proof that our organization will be relentless in our drive to continue to improve our team.”
 
Moore, 29, has played in 305 career National Hockey League contests for the NY Rangers (2003-06), Pittsburgh (2006-07), Minnesota (2006-07), Toronto (2007-09) and Buffalo (2008-09), scoring 35 goals with 65 assists and 200 PIM. The Thornhill, Ontario native posted career bests in goals scored (13), assists (32) and points (45), while playing in a combined 81 games for the Toronto and Buffalo last season. Moore also ranked among NHL leaders last season (T-14th) with a 54.1 face-off winning percentage. He was traded from Toronto to Buffalo at the trade deadline last season.
 
Prior to playing in the NHL, he played four years at Harvard (ECAC), recording a team best 51 points (24-27-51) during his senior season. Moore was drafted by the NY Rangers in the third round (95th overall) in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.
