Panthers Claim LW Steve MacIntyre From Edmonton

SUNRISE, FL – Florida Panthers General Manager Randy Sexton announced today that the club has claimed LW Steve MacIntyre off waivers from the Edmonton Oilers.
 
MacIntyre, 29, has played in four games with Edmonton this season, recording seven penalty minutes. For his career in the NHL, he has played in 26 contests for Edmonton registering two goals with 47 PIM. The 6-foot-5, 250-pound forward  was originally signed as a free agent by the Panthers on July 3, 2008 but was claimed off waivers by the Oilers on September 30, 2008.
 
Florida travels to Boston and will take on the Bruins on Thursday at 7:00 p.m., a game that can be seen on FS Florida and heard on SportsTalk 790 The Ticket.
