Florida Panthers
Dear Fans,
Today is an important day in the history of the Florida Panthers hockey club. As has been speculated in the media, over the past few months we have been looking to restructure our ownership group in order to better position this organization for the future.
Well today, I am thrilled and honored to announce that the solution to that restructuring challenge has come from within. Moving forward, South Florida residents Cliff Viner and Stu Siegel will assume the roles of Co-General Partners of SSE, and will be responsible for all of the decision making as it relates to the Florida Panthers, the BankAtlantic Center, and SSE’s other operating entities.
This change began to take shape as a result of Alan Cohen’s desire to take a step back and become a limited partner. I’d like to thank Alan for all his years of service to this franchise, and his continued support, and congratulate both Cliff and Stu for stepping up with the passion and the commitment to move this organization forward.
As you no doubt have heard, Cliff and Stu have built their organizational philosophy on a foundation of accountability, accessibility, professionalism, community outreach and, quite simply, winning.
Cliff has been with the organization for nearly seven years, while Stu has been here for 18 months. Both are avid hockey fans that have a clear understanding of the business and are passionate about making this franchise an elite organization and one that meets the goals and objectives of its fans and supporters.
From my standpoint, I feel fortunate to have found such great leadership from within, and I truly believe that this new ownership structure gives us a fresh start, and a real opportunity to take this organization to the next level.
Thank you for your support and go Panthers.
Regards,
