SUNRISE, Fla. – The Florida Panthers will complete a three game homestand tonight against the Toronto Maple Leafs at the BankAtlantic Center, and will look to continue the winning ways that have seen them take points in eight consecutive games, and win eight out of their last 13.

Thanks to great play from goalie Tomas Vokoun, forwards Nathan Horton and Stephen Weiss and others, the Cats are undefeated in regulation over the last eight games and sit just four points out of fifth place in the Eastern Conference.

In addition to their exciting play on the ice, the Panthers have had a great run off the ice as well. On Monday, the franchise unveiled its brand new third jersey to rave reviews. They will wear the new uniforms again tonight, and ten more times throughout the season.

Also, new team Co-Managing Partners Cliff Viner and Stu Siegel greeted fans at the front entrance to the BankAtlantic Center prior to Monday’s game against the Penguins and Wednesday’s Thanksgiving Eve contest against the New York Rangers.

“When we officially took over the reins of this hockey club over a week ago, one of the vows we made was to be accessible to fans,” Viner said. “Greeting them on Monday and Wednesday was one of the ways we can show those fans that we take that vow very seriously.”

“It was both exciting and gratifying to come face-to-face with thousands of the passionate Panthers fans and hockey fans that we have here in South Florida,” Siegel said. “We’ve made it clear that we are attempting to build a consistently successful hockey club built on a foundation of accessibility, accountability and winning culture, and many of the fans I spoke to earlier this week have passionately embraced that mission.”

Panthers executives such as President & COO Michael Yormark and Sr. VP Pedro Goncalves will continue to greet fans during weekend games throughout the 09-10 season with ownership attending wherever possible.

The Panthers also had a successful week from a charity standpoint, by feeding over 750 underprivileged families at the Cooperative Feeding Program on Tuesday afternoon, and raising approximately $5,000 for local burn victim and Panthers fan Michael Brewer on Monday evening.

The Florida Panthers Hockey Feast presented by CompUSA continues tonight with Panthers-Maple Leafs at the BankAtlantic Center, and concludes with a special concert by Andrea Bocelli tomorrow night. The Panthers game will air live on Fox Sports Florida and 790 the Ticket, and tickets are still available by calling 954.835.PUCK or logging on to FloridaPanthers.com.
