TAYLOR HALL
#2 North American Skater
Windsor, OHL

Position: Left Wing Shoots: Left
Height: 6'1 Weight: 185
Born: 11/14/91 Born In: Calgary, AB

THE SHINNY:
Known as a dynamic scorer, Taylor Hall finished tied for the OHL lead in points with potential first-overall pick Tyler Seguin (106 points). That was despite playing in just 57 games. His 66 assists led the league.

Hall has seen immense success the last two years. He's helped the Windsor Spitfires earn back-to-back Roberston Cups (OHL Champions) and is on pace for a second Memorial Cup. He represented Team Canada at the 2010 World Juniors, helping them to a silver medal as the only draft-eligible player on Canada's roster.

Director of Central Scouting E.J. McGuire: “When you talk about Hall, you talk about quickness, acceleration and hands. Easily and arguably, could have actually been our No. 1 pick overall. Taylor has done it all; he's the reigning MVP of the Memorial Cup tournament and has played on two medal-winning world championship teams.”

Windsor Spitfires head coach Bob Boughner: “Taylor is a dynamic skater who is fearless when he goes to the net. He is very difficult to knock off the puck once he gets it and his hunger for the puck is special. He reminds me of Pavel Bure. Taylor’s desire to be the best is also very unique and has also contributed to his success, and made him the great player that he is.”

Hall On Hall: "I like to think I'm a fast offensive player. I like to think I work hard and create a lot of offense for my team. If I had to say who I play like in the NHL, maybe Zach Parise, that skating style, a very good offensive player."

NEWS:
Hall Helps Windsor Earn Spot In Memorial Cup Final
(5.17.10) Windsor Spitfires left wing Taylor Hall continued his outstanding play, scoring twice and adding an assist as the Ontario Hockey League champions earned a spot in the Memorial Cup title game for the second-straight year following a 6-2 win against the Calgary Hitmen at Westman Place, in Brandon, Manitoba.

Hall, the No. 2 skater on NHL Central Scouting's ranking of North American skaters for the 2010 Entry Draft, now leads the tournament with 4 goals and 5 points.

Edmonton Oilers Win Draft Lottery
(4.13.10) The decision whether to take Tyler Seguin or Taylor Hall with the No. 1 pick in the NHL Entry Draft will be made by the Edmonton Oilers.

Seguin and Hall are rated No. 1 and No. 2 by Central Scouting -- and the Oilers, the last-place team in the regular-season, will get to choose between the two after winning the 2010 LG NHL Draft Lottery and retaining the No. 1 pick in the NHL Entry Draft. It's the third consecutive year and fourth time in five years that the last-place team in the regular season retained the top pick in the draft lottery.

Seguin Tops CSS's Rinal Rankings; Hall Second
(4.07.10) Tyler Seguin of the Ontario Hockey League's Plymouth Whalers is the No. 1 prospect for the 2010 Entry Draft in rankings released by NHL Central Scouting Wednesday. Seguin earned the nod over Taylor Hall of the OHL's Windsor Spitfires.
