Panthers Announce More Intimate BankAtlantic Center Capacity And Dynamic Pricing Structure For Single Game Tickets

SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment and the Florida Panthers announced today that the organization will add more intimacy to the BankAtlantic Center by reducing the overall capacity to 17,040 for Cats home games during the 2010-11 NHL regular season.
In addition, the Panthers will introduce a new dynamic pricing structure on single game tickets in which prices will rise as sales and demand increases on individual games, thus giving value to fans that buy early and purchase season ticket packages. These changes are part of the Panthers organization’s commitment to providing a better overall experience for the team’s most dedicated and passionate fans.
“Both the reduced seating capacity and the dynamic pricing structure were implemented based on the feedback from our fans and our season ticket advisory board,” said SSE president & COO Michael Yormark. “That said, we feel strongly that both changes will contribute to more excitement and intimacy at the BankAtlantic Center for Panthers home games, while greatly increasing the overall fan experience. It’s important to note, also, that our home arena is the fourth largest in the NHL and this capacity reduction will bring us more in line with the league average.”
The reduction in the BankAtlantic Center’s capacity will be accomplished by covering 2,458 upper level seats (the arena’s last six rows) for all Panthers home games. The “Panthers Blue” covers will feature incredible Panthers visuals as well as unique partner activation for a yet to be announced SSE sponsor.
Under the new dynamic pricing structure, all Panthers games will be classified in one of four categories: bronze (least expensive and below 2009-10 prices), silver, gold and platinum (most expensive). However, as demand increases for specific games, its pricing structure will increase as well, allowing games that begin under the bronze, silver or gold classification to move all the way up to platinum should sales demand it. Pricing structure classification cannot decrease, so to get the best value fans are encouraged to purchase season ticket packages now, or buy single game tickets as soon as they are released in September.
