Panthers Sign C Mark Cullen

SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has agreed to terms with C Mark Cullen to a one-year, two way contract.
“We are pleased to have signed Mark and we welcome him to the Florida Panthers,” said Tallon. “He is a hard-working forward who has experience on both the National Hockey League and the American Hockey League levels.”
Cullen, 31, paced the Rockford IceHogs (AHL) last season with 53 points (21-32-53) in 62 games played. The Virginia, Minnesota native posted the best numbers of his professional career during the 2005-06 campaign when he scored 29 goals and added 39 assists as a member of the Norfolk Admirals.
For his career in the National Hockey League, he has played in 32 contests with Chicago (2005-06) and Philadelphia (2006-07) scoring seven goals with nine assists. Cullen, is the younger brother of former Panthers F Matt Cullen (2002-04).
