Panthers Recall F Tim Kennedy

SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that F Tim Kennedy has been recalled from the Rochester Americans (AHL) after clearing re-entry waivers. In addition, F Kenndal McArdle has been reassigned to Rochester.
Kennedy, 24, has played in 79 National Hockey League games for Buffalo (2008-10) scoring 10 goals with 16 assists and 50 PIM. During the 2009-10 season Kennedy led all Buffalo rookie forwards in goals (10), assists (16), points (26) and shots (98). The Buffalo, N.Y. native played three years of college hockey at Michigan State University and won a NCAA Championship in 2007. Kennedy paced Michigan State in scoring in back-to-back seasons (06-07 and 07-08).
Kennedy was drafted by the Washington Capitals in the sixth round (No. 181 overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
McArdle, 24, has played in 11 games with Florida this season, averaging 9:56 in ice time with 16 PIM. For his career in the NHL, he has appeared in 33 games all with Florida, scoring one goal with two assists and 47 PIM. He has played in 47 games with Rochester this season recording 23 points (13-10-23) and 94 PIM.
The Panthers (26-31-9) play their second game of a season long seven-game home stand tonight when they host the Chicago Blackhawks. The game will be broadcast live on FOX Sports Florida and on Sports Radio 560 WQAM.
