Play Of The Week; 03.14.11 - 03.20.11
Welcome to the Panthers "Play Of The Week". Here fans can vote for the top moment in the 2010-11 season on a week to week basis. At the end of the season, we'll have our Top Play vote based on the top plays throughout the season.

Each week, will select the top highlights; including goals, saves and hits for you to vote on. Plus it's just another chance to see the best plays in one spot from the week past.

Trailing by one, Keaton Ellerby starts the play from behind his own goal with a pass up the ice. After Sergei Samsonov gets a piece of it, Stephen Weiss corals the puck, skates in and fires a bullet top shelf over Brian Boucher's glove 7:06 into the first.

Trying to dig the puck out of skates along the boards, Darryl Boyce pays the price as Ryan Carter comes over and flattens the forward 6:24 into the first period.

Scoreless less than a minute into the second period, Sergei Samsonov changes that as he neatly re-directs Jason Garrison's point shot past Toronto's Jean-Sebastian Giguere. The goal, 49 seconds in, would stand up as the game-winner.

Not long after Florida's goal, Toronto gets a great chance to tie the game at one as Luke Schenn skates in on the rush from his blueline position but Scott Clemmensen gets over to deny him 1:51 into the second.

With Toronto looking to get the puck out of their own zone, the Leafs Mikhail Grabvoski gets the puck. Ryan Carter, tracking the forward on the play, seperates him from the puck with a thunderous hit which leads directly to a fight between Carter and the Kevin Aulie 12:10 into the second.

Tied at one, Evgeny Dadonov nets his second of the contest. The young forward takes the pass from Sergei Samsonov off the boards, skates around Jack Hillen and whips a shot past Rick DiPietro with 2:32 left in the second period.

Trailing by one with less than seven minutes to play in regulation, Stephen Weiss one-times the pass from Sergei Samsonov top-shelf over the Islanders Rick DiPietro's glove. The goal helped earn the Panthers a point in the contest.
