“Garret is one of our young prospects who performed very well for us this season,” said Tallon. “He led his club in goal scoring during the regular season and had the opportunity to gain some valuable experience in the post season. We look forward to his continued development and contributions to our organization.”
Wilson, 20, was selected by Florida in the fourth-round (107th overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. The 6-foot-3, 206-pound left winger led the Owen Sound Attack (OHL) this season scoring 40 goals, while placing second on the club with 86 points (40-46-86). The Owen Sound captain recorded 21 points in 22 playoff games, helping his team advance to the Memorial Cup.
