Welcome to Mollerisms. FloridaPanthers.com takes a look at some of the best goal calls of 560 WQAM radio play-by-play man Randy Moller from the 2011-12 season.

Moller's interesting goal calls actually date back to the 2007-08 season where he used calls such as "Peanut Butter Jelly Time" and "Top Shelf Where Mrs. Moller Keeps The Peanut Butter". They took on a whole new meaning at the start of the 2008-09 season. While doing a crossover show with Dan Lebatard, Lebatard asked if the crew at 790 The Ticket could make suggestions for goal calls. Then from there it branched out to listeners making suggestions. Randy started using memorable one-liners from movies, songs and just about anything else. Lines such as "We've landed on the moon" from Dumb and Dumber, "We're going to need a bigger boat" from Jaws as well as Def Leppard's "Pour Some Sugar On Me" have been used.

Every Monday during the off-season we will introduce a Mollerism as Moller calls a goal the only way he knows how.

Our second Mollerism looks at Tomas Kopecky's game-winning goal in Boston against the Bruins late in the third period on December 8, 2011 as Moller uses some food for thought in calling the winner.

Posting five goals in each of their previous two games, the Panthers looked to extend their winning streak to three games as they hit Boston. A victory on the other hand was far from certain as Florida was battling a team that came off a scintillating November in which the black and gold went 12-0-1.

Thanks to the play of the netminders, the two teams played a scoreless game despite the offensive chances. The Bruins' Tim Thomas turned away 29 shots while Panthers netminder Jose Theodore was even better in stoning Boston on all 40 attempts.

It looked like the game would head to overtime with goose eggs on the board but with 2:32 left on the clock, that all changed.

Starting with a breakup of a rush by the Bruins by Dmitry Kulikov, Shawn Matthias spun and flew up the ice up the wing. Skating inside the Boston blueline, the forward fired a shot on Thomas. A crashing Sean Bergenheim couldn't get a second shot on goal but Kopecky, who was also putting on full pursuit of the puck, pounced on the puck to fire top shelf for his fourth goal of the season. With the full ice press on Kopecky flew backwards over Thomas, falling to the ice following the tally.

What better way to call the first goal of the game and eventual game-winner by throwing out a food as your goal call. With so many calls to use, to simply called out "Mashed Potatoes" makes Moller's calls what they are. Sporadic, entertaining and purely great.
