Panthers Announce Operation 3K
Cats’ front office sets goal of attracting 3,000 new season tickets by Opening Night 2012
Sunrise Sports & Entertainment announced today Operation 3K, an offseason initiative to attract 3,000 new Florida Panthers season tickets by Opening Night 2012. The initiative looks to capitalize on the Panthers’ exciting 2011-12 season – including a first division title and seven-game first-round playoff series – by adding 3,000 full season ticket equivalents to the Cats’ already passionate season ticket base.
As part of the Operation 3K initiative, the 1,500th, 2,000th, 2,500th and 3,000th new season ticket holder of the offseason will get their tickets, an autographed red Panthers jersey, BankAtlantic Center bucks, and more – hand-delivered by a Panthers player or personality, and Stanley C. Panther.
The Panthers recently sold their 1,300th new full season ticket of the offseason.
“Clearly the excitement and passion surrounding the 2011-12 Florida Panthers season has carried over in to the offseason as we are off to our best start on new business sales since moving to the BankAtlantic Center,” said Panthers president & COO Michael R. Yormark. “South Florida sports fans are still talking about the Cats’ captivating seven-game series against the Eastern Conference Champion New Jersey Devils, and Operation 3K is designed to carry that momentum through the summer months.”
Even with the Stanley Cup Playoffs nearly finished, hockey fans have a lot to look forward to over the next few months including the NHL Awards Show where Panthers GM Dale Tallon and D Brian Campbell are finalists, the NHL Entry Draft, and the start of free agency on July 1.
Fans will get updates on Operation 3K throughout the offseason on FloridaPanthers.com, the team’s Twitter and Facebook pages, and at all Big RED BBQs and offseason events.
