Ford Extends Marketing Partnership With SSE To Include Powering Of All Panthers Social Media

Partnership Elements Also Include Continuation of Ford Fridays

SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment announced today that Ford has extended and expanded its marketing partnership with the Florida Panthers and the BankAtlantic Center to include the powering of all the organization’s social media platforms. Moving forward, the Panthers’ Twitter, Facebook and WhoSay will all be powered by Ford. Ford will also continue to be the presenting sponsor of Ford Fridays for all Panthers home games on Friday nights, starting on Nov. 23 when the Cats host the Detroit Red Wings.

“Ford’s decision to extend and expand its marketing partnership with SSE is indicative of our ability to deliver measurable results and increase overall brand exposure,” said SSE president & chief operating officer Michael R. Yormark. “Additionally, we are excited that all the Panthers’ social media platforms will now be powered by Ford as we look to continue our incredible growth with more unique programs and innovative initiatives on Twitter, Facebook and WhoSay.”

Ford has had an increasing role with SSE and the Panthers since joining as a marketing partner in 2010 and will continue its growing involvement this season by presenting the Panthers’ social media platforms, including the post-game update on both Twitter, Facebook and PanthersVision game highlights. Ford will also be included on all advertising, broadcast and graphic materials relating to the Panthers’ social media accounts. Additionally, SSE and Ford will provide unique entertainment experiences for multiple Ford promotions throughout the year.

The Panthers’ social media platforms have experienced significant growth during the past season. The team’s Twitter account, @FlaPanthers, recently surpassed the 53,000-followers mark – a 190-percent growth in less than 11 months – while the team’s Facebook account, Facebook.com/FloridaPanthers, has grown 47 percent in that time frame to nearly 80,000 followers.

The Panthers are set to open the 2012-13 season Oct. 13 against the Tampa Bay Lightning and will raise a Southeast Division Championship banner in a pre-game ceremony. Select lower-bowl season tickets are available for as low as $30 now by calling 954-835-PUCK or clicking to FloridaPanthers.com.
