National Hockey League Announces Cancellation of Preseason Schedule
SUNRISE, FL – The Florida Panthers in conjunction with the National Hockey League announced today that all the club’s preseason games have been cancelled through Sept. 30. The cancellation includes Florida’s home double header against the Nashville Predators (Sept. 24) and Florida’s road games on Sept. 28 (vs. Dallas Stars in San Antonio) and Sept. 29 (at Dallas).
As a result of this announcement, the team has postponed the REDvolution Tour & Preseason Kickoff Event that was scheduled to take place on Saturday, Sept. 22 at the Huizenga Plaza in Fort Lauderdale.
More information on new dates will be announced at a future time.
The cancellation of the schedule was necessary because of the absence of a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the NHL Players’ Association and the NHL.
