Panthers Head Coach Kevin Dineen & Staff To Host South Florida Coaching Clinic on Dec. 16 at BB&T Center

SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment today announced that the Florida Panthers will host the South Florida Coaching Clinic on Sunday, Dec. 16 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the BB&T Center. The clinic is open to all South Florida and USA Hockey registered coaches with any level of experience.

Florida Panthers Head Coach Kevin Dineen will serve as the head instructor, along with presentations from Craig Ramsay (Panthers Assistant Coach/Stanley Cup Champion/Former NHL Player), Robb Tallas (Panthers Goalie Coach/Former NHL Goalie) and other special instructors.

In his first year behind the bench for the Panthers, Dineen led Florida to their first Southeast Division Championship title in franchise history, culminating with a game-seven double overtime loss to the eventual Eastern Conference Champion New Jersey Devils in the conference quarterfinals.

Prior to joining the Panthers, Dineen coached the Portland Pirates (American Hockey League) for six seasons, compiling a .616 winning percentage, including a pair of division titles. A third round pick of the Harford Whalers, Dineen appeared in 1,188 games throughout his 19-year National Hockey League playing career.

For more information on the coaching clinic please contact Jeremy Mylymok at 954-341-9956. To register for a spot in the clinic log onto floridapanthers.com/coachesclinic. Date and time of the coaching clinic is subject to change pending resolution of the ongoing NHL-NHLPA CBA negotiations.
