National Hockey League Announces Cancellation of 2012-13 Regular Season Games Through Dec. 30

SUNRISE, FL – The Florida Panthers in conjunction with the National Hockey League announced today that the team’s regular season games through Sunday, Dec. 30 have been cancelled.

The cancellation includes Florida’s home games against Nashville (Dec. 23), Tampa Bay (Dec. 26) and Montreal (Dec. 28), as well as Florida’s road games in Boston (Dec. 15), in Washington (Dec. 17), at New York Rangers (Dec. 20), in Ottawa (Dec. 21) and at Carolina (Dec. 29).

The cancellation of the regular season games was necessary because of the absence of a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the NHL Players’ Association and the NHL.
