Postgame Autographs On Saturday Highlight Big Week For Panthers In Community

SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment announced today that the Florida Panthers will host three community events over the next week as part of the team’s “7th Man” initiative including a postgame autograph session on Saturday, hospital visit on Friday and a Panthers LIVE! event on Tuesday night. Attendance of Panthers players and personalities is subject to change.

On Friday, Feb. 15 at approximately 1:30 p.m. Panthers players Stephen Weiss, Mike Weaver, George Parros and Tyson Strachan will visit Chris Evert Children’s Hospital at the Broward Health Medical Center in Ft. Lauderdale. The players will spend time with kids, sign autographs and hand out gift bags inside the Panthers-themed eighth floor pediatric oncology unit.

On Saturday, Feb. 16, following the 3 p.m. Cats-Lightning game at the BB&T Center, at least half of the Panthers team will sign autographs for fans outside on the JetBlue Tarmac.

Then on Tuesday, Feb. 19, young Panthers stars Jonathan Huberdeau and Drew Shore will answer questions and visit with fans during a Panthers LIVE! event at 7 p.m. at Duffy’s Sports Grill, 811 S University Dr, Plantation, 33324. Fans will also be able to get autographs, take advantage of food and drink specials, and more.

In addition, tomorrow the Florida Panthers Foundation will host a “Panthers Players’ Favorite Things” basket auction where fans can bid on baskets put together by each players’ “better half.” The baskets feature each individual players’ favorite things with all proceeds going toward the fight against pediatric cancer. The auction will take place outside the BB&T Center’s North VIP entrance from 6:30 p.m. to the second intermission.

The “7th Man” initiative encapsulates the organization’s commitment to earning the support of all of its fans and partners all season long (#7thman, #redrising).

Florida is in the midst of a four-game home stand that continues against Montreal on Thursday, Tampa Bay on Saturday and Toronto on Monday at the BB&T Center. All games begin at 7:30 p.m. and will be broadcast live on FOX Sports Florida and Sports Radio 560 WQAM.
