2. Huby Duby Doo: The Cats super rook is definitely finding his groove of late. Having set up the Panthers first goal, the 19-year old really took over the game on the score sheet. On a breakaway two minutes following the Panthers opening goal, Huberdeau was hooked by Kimmo Timonen on the play. Not able to get off a shot, he was rewarded a penalty shot and he made Ilya Bryzgalov look silly once again for a three-goal advantage. If you remember, Huberdeau scored on a fantastic deke in the shootout to help the Panthers earn two points in Philadelphia the last time the two teams played. He changed up his move, skating backwards at one point but the result wast the same. 11:46 into the second period, he struck again, chasing Bryzgalov with the Panthers fourth goal of the night while the Panthers were on the power play. Then he started the play on the Cats fifth goal, as Mueller finished off Drew Shore's initial shot making it a 5-1 advantage. Huberdeau upped his point total to 13 (8-4-13) in 16 games, good enough for second in the rookie scoring race. 3. Clem And The Boys: Head coach Kevin Dineen had three netminders at his disposal and he decided to go with Scott Clemmensen. The goaltender, after all, entered the game with a 4-1-1 record and a .918 save percentage against Philadelphia in his career. Looking to bounce back from Feb. 12th's game against Washington in which he gave up six goals, the netminder rewarded his team as he was strong against the Flyers all night. If not for a Luke Schenn blast with 6:11 to play and a goal mouth scramble goal by Jakub Voracek with 4:25 to play, Clem would have skated away with the shutout as he stopped 32 shots for the victory. While he was good in the net, the defense did a much better job of clearing the puck out of the zone in helping give the Panthers a much needed victory. |

Memorable fan posts from the game.
Evonne Estep: And breathe..yyyyyyyyaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy! Shawn Sullivan: Apparently playing in one of the more intimidating venues in hockey is just the cure for what was ailing the Panthers. Good win! Steve Martinson: Great effort! The youngster line is doing fine! Joe Fiore: That's exactly what the Panthers need. 60 minute efforts, great goaltending, and great scorers. Gerri Jessen: Alright! Finally an example of a better hustle from our offense and defense. Our rookie line is badass! And Clemmenson rocked it!h. |

1. Scott Clemmensen was big in coming up with his first victory of the season. It took a while (six games) but it was worth it as he turned aside 32 shots for his fifth career victory against Philadelphia. |
