Major Panthers Features On Tap On FOX Sports Florida And 560 WQAM This Weekend
SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment today announced that this weekend FOX Sports Florida and Sports Radio 560 WQAM will broadcast a number of different Florida Panthers features including the Cats’ back-to-back home games on Saturday, April 6 at 7:30 p.m. vs. Washington and Sunday, April 7 at 6 p.m. vs. Ottawa.
Saturday night during Florida’s game against the Caps FOX Sports Florida will focus heavily on 2010 first round pick (19th overall) Nick Bjugstad in his NHL debut, as well as fellow young guns Shawn Matthias, Erik Gudbranson, Drew Shore, Quinton Howden, Jacob Markstrom and Calder Trophy candidate Jonathan Huberdeau.
Saturday night will also be Ford Social Media night where Panthers fans with FOX Sports’ Kavita Channe reporting from different BB&T Center locations throughout the night.
On Sunday night the Panthers take on the Senators while in the booth Steve Goldstein and Bill Lindsay will give Panthers fans an update on the Panthers prospects in college and junior hockey.
On Monday, FOX Sports will shoot the Panthers team autograph signing for season seat owners for their “All Access” feature to air April 11 on FOX Sports during the Florida-Winnipeg broadcast.
Saturday on WQAM, Randy Moller and Kevin Rogers will host the Venue Kings Panthers Insider: Weekend Edition from 9-10 a.m. Guests on the show include Washington Capitals play-by-play announcer John Walton, Panthers rookie Nick Bjugstad and Panthers Assistant General Manager Mike Santos. From 5-7 pm, WQAM will air live from the Panther Bar inside the BB&T Center.
During Sunday’s broadcast, Bjugstad, Howden and Shore will talk about their first NHL game experiences, while WQAM analyzes how injuries have opened the door this season for Florida’s young prospects.
