Panthers Unveil 'Heroes Among Us' Program
Individual heroes who go above and beyond in the community to be honored with recognition during each home game starting with 2013-14 season.
SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment today announced that the Florida Panthers have unveiled the ‘Heroes Among Us’ program, a new initiative beginning with the 2013-14 season. This latest program will give special recognition to individual heroes in the community who go above and beyond to serve and inspire others, exhibit dedication and selflessness in the community, made a special and significant impact on others, families or the community at large.
“It is an absolute privilege to be able to salute the community members who go to great lengths to making the communities in South Florida a better place to live,” said Panthers President Michael R. Yormark. “The entire Panthers organization is committed to supporting our local communities and we are ecstatic to start this new program that recognizes the individuals that do the same.”
Forty-one heroes will be chosen throughout the season and will be invited to a 2013-14 Panthers home game where they will receive special recognition during the in-game presentation.
Fans, members of the community and media are all encouraged to recommend deserving Heroes by submitting deserved individuals and groups stories to Florida Panthers Foundation Executive Director Andria Nolan at firstname.lastname@example.org.
