Panthers 2013 NHL Draft Party Reaches Capacity In Club RED – Auxiliary Area To Be Set Up In Lower Bowl At The BB&T Center
Festivities begin at 2pm as Florida is set to select second overall at 2013 NHL Draft on Sunday, June 30 – Fans are encouraged to RSVP now
SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment today announced that the Florida Panthers Draft Party in Club RED has reached capacity with over 700 fans already confirmed but the team is opening up an auxiliary area in the lower bowl and on the BB&T Center floor so more fans can enjoy the first round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft on Sunday, June 30.
The party is scheduled to run from 2:00-5:30 p.m. A Panthers player (subject to availability) and Fox Sports Florida Analyst Bill Lindsay are expected to be in attendance while WQAM, featuring Kevin Rogers, will broadcast live from Club RED.
“We are extremely excited to host this year’s draft party at the BB&T Center with our largest turnout ever expected as more than 700 Panthers fans have already confirmed for the event,” said Panthers president Michael R. Yormark (@PanthersYormark). “Currently holding the second overall pick, this is an exciting time for Panthers hockey as we add another player to the strong nucleus we have in place.”
The Draft Party will feature food and drinks, along with appearances from the Redline Lady Panthers and Stanley C. Panther. Panthers Patrol members will also be on hand with games, prizes and giveaways for fans. Pantherland will be open and have special offers on merchandise.
Fans will also have a chance to tour the BB&T Center including exploring the Panthers locker rooms. The 2011-12 Southeast Division Championship Banner and Zamboni’s will be available for unique photo opportunities during the Draft Party.
Attending fans should enter through Gate 5 at the BB&T Center and park in Lexus Lot B16. To attend, Season Seat Owners and interested fans must RSVP by June 27 by visiting FloridaPanthers.com/DraftParty. Space is still limited.
The 2013 NHL Entry Draft will take place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey with all seven rounds held on June 30. Florida has held a Top-3 pick in two of the previous three drafts, selecting D Erik Gudbranson third overall in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft in Los Angeles and F Jonathan Huberdeau third overall in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft in Minnesota.
