Panthers Recall D Ryan Whitney From San Antonio (AHL)
SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers Executive Vice President and General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that D Ryan Whitney has been recalled from the San Antonio Rampage (AHL).
Whitney, 31, has appeared in six games in his first season with Florida. The Boston, MA native has also played in 40 games with San Antonio, collecting 20 points (6-14-20) and 22 penalty minutes. He has played in 480 career NHL games over nine seasons with Pittsburgh (2005-09), Anaheim (2009-10), Edmonton (2010-13) and Florida (2013-14), recording 259 points (50-209-259) and 381 penalty minutes.
