PANTHERS 3, SENATORS 2 (SO)
Led by another dominating performance from Roberto Luongo, the Florida Panthers overcame a 2-0 second period deficit to defeat the Senators 3-2 in a shootout. Sean Bergenheim and Vincent Trocheck scored goals 23 seconds apart in the second period and Luongo stopped 37 of 39 shots as well as two of the three shootout attempts from the Senators.

The Senators came out flying last night firing 20 shots on Luongo in the first period alone. Lu was up to the task and the Panthers were able to tighten things up on the defensive end, giving their goalie some breathing room.
Florida came out in the second frame and logged 19 shots of their own. The defense limited Ottawa to just five shots in the third and two in overtime.
