Prep Classes are designed to get you ready for the audition. Meet the Director, Choreographers, current Cheerleaders and get a feel for the choreography. During the preliminary audition process for cheerleaders, applicants will be judged on dance ability, crowd appeal, appearance and overall showmanship. A professional choreographer will teach a short dance combination for each phase of the audition. You will be required to learn and perform the routine in a group in front of a panel of judges. At the end of the preliminary audition, a group of finalists will be selected to continue to boot camp. Boot camp will consist of strength and conditioning work outs and learning additional choreography to perform at the Final Auditions.
A two-piece leotard (half top and briefs or boy cut shorts) with flesh colored hosiery is required. Jazz, dance shoes or athletic shoes are also mandatory. We strongly recommend that you wear your hair and apply your makeup in a way that compliments your features. Finalists Finalists selected must be available for an interview and the final dance audition the following day and week. Details regarding time and location will be given to finalists at the conclusion of preliminaries. Being a Lady Panther is a part time job and we encourage cheerleaders to attend school and/or maintain a full time career. Applications A 5x7 or larger photo is required.
