2005 - The NHL's Board of Governors ratifies the terms of a six-year Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiated with the NHL Players' Association ending a 310-day work stoppage.
1999 - Hall of Fame broadcaster Jiggs McDonald is named radio play-by-play announcer for the Florida Panthers. McDonald will team up with Randy Moller on Panthers radio broadcasts for flagship station WQAM.
1998 - The Florida Panthers name Slavomir Lener assistant coach and promote Bill Smith to assistant coach. |
