2011 - GM Dale Tallon is very active on the first day of free agency, signing Sean Bergenheim, Tomas Fleischmann, Marcel Goc, Ed Jovanovski, Jose Theodore, Scottie Upshall, and Nolan Yonkman while acquiring Kris Versteeg from the Flyers.

2009 -
The Panthers re-sign dynamic forward David Booth to a six-year extension and Radek Dvorak to a two-year deal and sign goaltender Scott Clemmensen (3-years) and defenseman Ville Koistinen (2-years).

2007 - The Panthers are active on the first day of free agency signing Radek Dvorak, Brett McLean and Richard Zednik.

2005 - Sports Radio 560 WQAM signs a two-year contract with the Panthers to retain radio rights.

2011 - The Panthers host an introductory press conference to introduce the new players signed in free agency or acquired via trade over a week span at the end of June and beginning of July. The players present include Matt Bradley, Brian Campbell, Tomas Fleischmann, Ed Jovanovski, Tomas Kopecky, Jose Theodore, Scottie Upshall, Kris Versteeg and Nolan Yonkman.

- The Panthers turn the Broward County Convention Center into a mecca for hockey enthusiasts, when they host the second annual "HockeyFest."

2002 - Scott Luce is named Panthers director of amateur scouting.

1995 - The Panthers select Left Wing Radek Dvorak with their first pick (10th overall) in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft. Florida makes eight more selections at the draft in Edmonton, Alta.

1999 - The Panthers name Chuck Fletcher general manager of the Louisville affiliate. Fletcher will also remain assistant general manager of the Florida Panthers under Bryan Murray.

1998 - The Panthers’ new arena in Sunrise is officially named the National Car Rental Center.

2007 - The Florida Panthers announce that the team's games will now be heard on 790 The Ticket. Also, radio play-by-play announcer Steve Goldstein becomes the team's new television play-by-play voice on FSN Florida.

1995 - Rich Kromm named head coach of the Panthers' affiliate, the Carolina Monarchs.

Jiggs McDonald
2005 - The NHL's Board of Governors ratifies the terms of a six-year Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiated with the NHL Players' Association ending a 310-day work stoppage.

1999 - Hall of Fame broadcaster Jiggs McDonald is named radio play-by-play announcer for the Florida Panthers. McDonald will team up with Randy Moller on Panthers radio broadcasts for flagship station WQAM.

1998 - The Florida Panthers name Slavomir Lener assistant coach and promote Bill Smith to assistant coach.

2001 - Cliff Viner takes over as General Partner, Chairman & CEO of the Florida Panthers Hockey Club and the BankAtlantic Center. Viner is now solely responsible for all decisions as it relates to SSE and all of its operating entities.

Doug MacLean
1995 - Doug MacLean is named head coach of the Florida Panthers. MacLean becomes the second head coach in franchise history.

2001 - The NHL Board of Governors approves the transfer of the Panthers from Boca Resorts, Inc. to the new local ownership group, headed by Alan Cohen, Bernie Kosar and David Epstein.

2007 - The Panthers host a reunion game at the BankAtlantic Center for the "Year of the Rat", the 1996 Panthers that won the Eastern Conference Championship. At the reunion, the Panthers unveil their new jerseys for the upcoming season.

1997 - The Panthers name Joe Cirella an assistant coach after former assistant Lindy Ruff leaves to become head coach of the Buffalo Sabres.

2005 - Florida selects Kenndal McArdle with the 20th overall pick in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. The Panthers acquired the pick after trading their 29th overall selection and a second round pick in the 2006 draft to the Philadelphia Flyers.
