1996 - The Panthers make an Initial Public Offering (IPO), putting 48% of the team's stock on sale to the general public.

1998 - The Florida Panthers host HockeyFest '98 at the Office Depot Center and between 37,000 and 40,000 fans pass through the doors. The Panthers also unveil their alternate jersey.

2009 - The Panthers leave for Helsinki, Finland where they are part of four teams participating in the 2009-10 NHL Premiere Games. Florida will spend the next 10 days in Finland, helping to grow the game in Europe.
