|

![]() |
Bill Murphy enters his first season as Arena Emcee after being behind the Panthers’ PA microphone at BankAtlantic Center since the 2002-03 season. It’s Bill’s voice that prompts the South Florida fans with “PANthers....” before the crowd answers with “GOAL!!” after every home Panthers tally! The experience leading up to Bill’s position with the Panthers includes stints at South Florida radio stations WBGG, WSHE and WMXJ, as well as Dallas, TX outlets KDGE, KEGL and KTCK. In addition to his media involvement with the Panthers both on the radio and at home games since 1994-95, Bill has covered hockey for the NHL’s Dallas Stars and the former CHL’s Dallas Freeze as a reporter and studio host. Bill was born and raised in Westchester County, NY and has been involved in hockey since he was a kid. “Having played the game since childhood, I have a solid passion for hockey and the NHL. When the puck drops, if I’m not announcing something, I’m being as much of a fan as anyone in the arena!” Currently Bill resides in Plantation and can be found recording and mixing voiceovers and music for his own production company and performing with South Florida rock ‘n roll band, Nobody’s Fault and hosts a daily radio interview show at BillMurphyShow.com.
