SUNRISE (AP) - The Buffalo Sabres haven't had much trouble beating the Florida Panthers recently. That trend certainly didn't change in the first matchup this season.

Buffalo looks to win four straight for the third time this season as it tries to continue its dominance of visiting Florida on Wednesday night.

FULL STORY
SUNRISE (10/21/09) Dave Joseph -  There are no easy answers following this game for the Panthers.

Despite all the hope offered by Friday’s 4-2 victory over the Flyers – despite the promise of getting off to a fast start this season – the Panthers spontaneously combusted Wednesday evening at BankAtlantic Center.

Blink and you missed it.

FULL STORY

Put Pucks On Net: Ryan Miller gives up very little. His 1.77 Goals Against attests to that. For Florida to find any kind of success, they'll have to throw pucks at him. A lot of them. The more that get to him, the better the chance they have to score. Pretty simple.

  CORY STILLMAN
Looking for offense from the Cats? Look no further than veteran winger Cory Stillman.

Stillman has put up impressive numbers over the past seven games, recording nine points, including all five of his goals on the season.

Dating back to October 31st, Stillman has recorded points in eight of the nine contests while recording multi-point games three times. The one game he didn't score? He just netted the game-winner in the shootout.
RYAN MILLER
Ryan Miller is making an impressive case to start for the US at the Olympics.

The Buffalo netminder has a league best 1.77 goals against average while posting an equally impressive 12-2-1 record. That start has helped Buffalo to third in the conference early on.

Last week, Miller was named the third star of the week winning all three contests while allowing four goals.
A Simple Road First: The Panthers didn't have much success in the first against Buffalo when they were in Sunrise (allowing five goals in the opening 20). The Cats need to keep it simple the second time around, especially since it's being played in a voistorous HSBC Arena. Limit the mistakes and capitalize.
Win Five-on-Five Play: Teams will get their power play chances. It's just the nature of the game. Where this game might be decided is in the five-on-five battle. Buffalo is third in the league in five-on-five scoring differential (1.35). Florida on the other hand is 27th (.74).

Florida - Nick Tarnasky (orbital bone) out
              David Booth (concussion) out

Buffalo - Toni Lydman (groin) out
              Mike Grier (groin) out
              Drew Stafford (lower body) day-to-day
