JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS:
- Administration and maintenance of Microsoft OS’, VMWare Virtualization, and other data networks.
- Support, maintenance, administration, and documentation of company data communications and client/server systems.
- Implements new technologies.
- Upgrades, patches, and fixes existing systems.
- Network Security and Performance Monitoring (firewall configuration, and monitoring review of server event logs, user storage quotas, mailbox sizes and server data storage).
- Resource Protection (Backups, Anti-virus, Critical Updates, Service Packs, etc).
- Support, maintenance, administration, and documentation of company Voice systems.
- Documentation (Network Diagrams, Procedures, Asset Inventory, etc).
- Provides Second Level Client Support to Helpdesk and Incident Management (Support hardware and software moves, adds, changes, and troubleshoot problems using software to document, manage, and track requests).
- Provides some desktop support to assist Helpdesk position.
- Share event and game setup/coverage duties with other staff.
- Supports the enforcement of IT policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Qualified candidates must possess a minimum of three (3) years of experience with administering Microsoft operating systems, including Server operating systems, Antivirus application servers, WSUS management, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft
- Exchange, and backup systems. VMWare ESX/ESXi, Firewalls, phone system knowledge preferred. A college degree in Computer Science is preferred, MCP certification required, MCITP a plus.
- Outstanding interpersonal, organization, time management and communication skills are a must
- Must be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends and holidays. This position provides event and game setup and coverage, so not strictly office work.
