Represented Team Canada in the WJC, winning  a Bronze Medal, finishing the tournament with one goal and eight assists with a +8 rating and 16 PIMs. Named Captain of Team Canada for Canada-Russia Challenge, Lead team Canada with five points (2-3-5) in three games played. 
2009: 
Huberdeau played for Team Quebec at the World U-17 Hockey Challenge, picking up two goals and one assist for three points in five games.
