The Nashville Predators will try to avoid their first three-game losing streak in more than a month when they host the Florida Panthers.

Nashville, which last dropped three straight from Nov. 2-7, put together its best month of the season thereafter, winning 10 of its next 12 games (10-2-0), including a franchise-record six-game win streak.

However, the Predators have been outscored 8-1 in dropping their last two contests, including Thursday's 4-1 home setback to Los Angeles. Martin Erat scored the lone goal for Nashville, which has been shut out just once thus far this season.

Predators captain Greg Johnson voiced his concern after Nashville had its four-game home winning streak snapped.

"One of the weaknesses of this team in the past is that we get in a slump and stay in one," he said. "We have to snap right out of this and get some momentum going at home."

Viktor Kozlov, Matt Cullen and Juraj Kolnik scored third-period goals to help the Panthers snap a six-game winless streak with Friday's 4-2 victory over the Montreal Canadiens. Olli Jokinen also scored for the Panthers, who went 0-2-3-1 during their skid.

Florida set a season high with 49 shots and allowed 31. Montreal native Roberto Luongo made 29 saves for the Panthers, who have not won consecutive games since Nov. 22-24.

Florida left wing Kristian Huselius, a healthy scratch the previous two games, returned to the lineup Friday. He replaced left wing Niklas Hagman, who was a healthy scratch after going scoreless in 10 games.
